An adult elephant was found dead in Barkot forest range of Doiwala area in the state, the official sources today said. The pachyderms death came to light last evening when villagers informed the forest guards patrolling the area about the animals body lying there. The sources, however, have ruled out any foul play behind the mammals death as his tusks and other vital organs were found to be intact.
