Sanom may be just a baby but she is a fighter. Despite wounds all over her body, believed to be from a tiger attack, the four-year-old elephant is still on her feet. When she was first brought to Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre on Monday, Sanom was covered in maggot-infested puncture wounds on her back, and had gaping wounds on the soles of both hind feet.
