One of the St. Louis Zoo's most popular occupants celebrates her first birthday today. The Asian elephant Maliha was 341 pounds at birth on August second of last year. Now, she weighs 720 pounds. Keepers will chat with visitors from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in front of the center yard at the River's Edge area of the zoo.
