A male African elephant born at the former San Diego Zoo´s Wild Animal Park three months ago will be called Emanti, which means "water" in the language of Swaziland, zoo officials announced Thursday. The calf was born May 12 at the newly renamed San Diego Zoo Safari Park located in southeast Escondido. More than 1,000 name suggestions were submitted via the zoo´s website. This tinky tusker has caused big trouble for zoo bosses in Austria - where his five year old big brother has been forced to pack his trunk to make way for him. The five week old male African elephant - as yet unnamed by keepers - was expected to be a girl and join the herd at Vienna´s Schoenbrunn Zoo. But because he´s a boy, his big brother Kibo - born to the same mum Numbi five years ago - has to be sent to another zoo to avoid causing conflict in the colony.
